When the condition of a hospitalized patient becomes extremely dangerous or critical, they are immediately transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital. The ICU at Mission Regional Medical Center is a fully integrated multi-specialty critical care unit.
At PMG, we work hand-in-hand with critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, nutritionists and a multitude of medical and surgical consultants to ensure that the highest level and most advanced critical care medicine is delivered to each of our patients with confidence and immediacy. We are experienced in handling many critical illnesses from respiratory failure and loss of blood pressure to multi-organ failure and neurosurgical catastrophes.
Our doctors believe that critical care also includes respecting the overall health and well-being of the whole patient and understanding their personal and emotional needs. This requires empathy and communication to ensure that the patients and their families can have confidence in the personal, respectful and hig-quality care the patient is receiving.
If you need to speak to one of our critical care doctors, please call 949-443-4303. Our critical care patients come to us from Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente, Irvine and nearby areas in South County, CA.
In the world we live today with HMOs and specialists it's hard to find a doctor who really cares. A doctor who takes the time needed to solve your problem. I'm writing this letter to thank you, Dr. Kale, for your help with my CPAP Mask. It has made all the difference. Since my visit with you a few days ago I have slept through the night. It has been a very long time since I have slept this well. Not sleeping was taking away the quality of my life. Not only are you a very pleasant person you are a wonderful doctor.
